One year ago (plus two days, it was August 6th) I moved to New York from Atlanta, GA. Having lived on Long Island until I was 11, this wasn't a case of the country mouse moving to the big city. But it was my first time as an adult living in Manhattan and I loved every minute of it. As you're all well aware, I ate quite a bit and documented it all for you to see and read about. What follows, then, is a comprehensive list of every place I reviewed this year (August 6th, 2004 to August 6th, 2005). Each link should take you to the appropriate review. I'm doing this all manually, so if there's a mistake please let me know! And for the restaurants I truly loved, I'll put stars next to them (the stars look like this: *) (that's not a star, that's an asterisk) (shut up!) and maybe include a picture if I ate something special there. (Also, if you see a "X2" it means I ate there twice and the "X2" will link you to the second review.) This may take a long time, so if you see this posted at 4 am please send a paramedic to my apartment! On we go!

Impressive Adam! I like the pictures interspersed throughout the post. Quite a few places that Dave and I need to visit!
Have you ever been to the Hummus place on St. Marks? We're going this weekend (we've been before, and just love it!). Drop me an email if you'd like to join us! :)

Great post! Looks like I can throw out my Zagats. Well maybe not!

That is an impressive list and it's more impressive still that you kept a comprehensive record of all of it!
One suggestion, should you care to be bothered: you might add an indication ("$/$$/$$$" perhaps) of the relative prices. OK, I'll go away now...

I don't know how I came across your site, but since discovering it, I'm hooked! Love the reviews, love the pics and love the recipes and tips. I've been to NYC so many times, and evidently missed out on some great restaurants. Looking forward to reading more.

Holy mackerel, that's a lot of restaurants. I lived in New York for three months, but I only ate at a tenth as many restaurants. This is an incredibly comprehensive list, and present and future New Yorkers should be able to count on it for great recommendations... Though you're biased toward Manhattan, we won't hold that against you.
Thanks!

Excellent gastronomic list. I wish had the time to go to even half that many restaurants.

That is a beautiful set of memories, there. Can't wait to see what the next year of your intrepid food reportage brings.

amazing list. any idea how much you spent total on your year of dining. i'm curious because it's a real accomplishment and i'm thinking, maybe i could do the same in my city.
tks.

This list is incredible. But, off the top of my head, where's Per Se? Hint: it is nowhere near the top of my head.
