Seattle Meet-Up Reminder

Just a reminder to Seattle readers: we’re meeting on New Year’s Day, January 1st, at 3:30 PM at Victrola Coffee. Everyone else, I’ll be back in a week. Happy New Year!

  1. I know I’m chiming in a bit late, but don’t miss Black Bottle – a funky wine bar with scrumptious tapas-style plates (all $8-9) and a fun wine list. It’s on 1st Avenue & Vine – about 6 blocks north of Pike Place Market. Opens at 5:30 every evening.

If you want dinner in the Pike Place Market – Matt’s in the Market is fresh, quite inexpensive, &has a unique wine list. Or Cafe Campagne – excellent, traditional French cuisine. For perfect espresso & French pastries peak into Le Panier, The Truly French Bakery – you won’t be sorry.

For the best pizza in Seattle, hit Via Tribunali on Capitol Hill (same area as Victrola Coffee). Head east (up the hill) on Pike – it’s just past Broadway. The chef (Dino) & the pizza oven both came from Napoli.

Kingfish Cafe has fantastic upscale soul food. The line is always out the door & around the corner. 602 19th Ave East – 206-320-8757 – east of Capitol Hill.

    Rover’s is star-quality French cuisine – consistent & delicious. In the Madison neighborhood – 2808 E Madison St (Cross Street: 28th Avenue E) 206-325-7442.

    See you Monday!

  2. did you ever get a good answer to your question:

[Is it possible to burn the TV shows I download on the iTunes music store on to a DVD that I can watch on my DVD player?

  3. It was great to meet you Adam! Craig is even MORE darling in person than he is in your videos. You’ll have to check out my post later today on Hoppin’ John.

  4. Damn it! I wanted so much to be there. Sadly, the manuscript of my book was due today, so no going out of this house for this one. (Wonderfully, I finished it on time, emailed it last night, and am now free. For a week.)

Did you have a huge latte with foamy milk? Please, publish some accounts, sir adam.

(are you still in town? want to have coffee again?)

  5. Yo AG! Sorry I missed ya – I actually ended up working all day on the 1st – ugnghghghhh… Anyway, I hope you had (or are still having) an awesome time in Seattle… Cheers.
