A Sweet Gift

David and Rebecca (mentioned in the post below) were also really sweet and bought me macaroons from Financier, a place I need to check out on Stone St. Here they are–aren’t they pretty?

I’ve already eaten four. They’re terrific. I’d give you some, but they’re mine–get your own!

  1. I’ve been wanting to go to Financier for a while now yet for some reason have avoided exploring the area below Fulton. But now that you’ve shown us the macaroons, I MUST GO. (Why don’t I know people who’ll give me macaroons?!) “Something Sweet” bakery on 1st Ave and 11th St also sells those kinds of macaroons.

  2. Bouchon Bakery in Yountville sells these cookies, too, but they’re $2.50 each. I’d love a packet of them as shown in the photo. I was recently in Venice (Italy) and bought some macaroons at Pasticceria Marchini, but I’d rather have Keller’s macaroons.
