Adam, you’d be porud of me. I hosted (with the rest of the Jessup team) a dinner party tonight with a Mexican theme. It was a surpise for Trinh and we managed to carry it off completely without leaking it to her by accident– and it was tough. To make this relevant to the site, here is my themed menu: chicken fajitas (for one Mr. Andrew who insists that a meal without meat isn’t a meal), Mexican Lasagne, Taco Salad, Mexicorn, Soft Corn Souffle, and chocolate cake for dessert. What do you think? Rachel topped it off with margaritas. Yumm…
I’m a fan of your “Eating Atlanta” category. I’ve lived in Atlanta for a year and a half or so now and there definitely a lot of restaurants I still want to try. I also like your “Cooking / Eating” posts: the recent strawberries post was a riot and.. Dunkin’ Donuts! Sweet, sweet Dunkin’ Donuts. I moved from Boston, where there’s a Dunkin’ Donuts on every block. Food’s nice in its predictability, like you said, and good coffee.
More movies!
i like it. i’m a fan. i have no idea how i got here but i’ve been reading it during my lunch break for nearly a month. i even bought an avacado for the first time this weekend. now i just have to find a gaucamole recipe and turn off the lights.
Thanks everyone.
Sara, have no fear—I’m headed to NYC for Spring Break and I plan to shoot a riotous eating binge video there.
DD–thanks; and make sure, when buying your avocado, that you buy a Haas avacado that is brown and soft to the touch. Many people (myself included) mistakingly buy the bright green ones and those aren’t mushy enough for guacamole. And as far as recipes go, I highly suggest The Barefoot Contessas. I can’t publish it here, but if you e-mail me I’ll tell it to you!
i think your blog is great the way it is. i am a young person and enjoy your take on enjoying and sharing food. thanks for the many amusing stories, songs and movies!
