Star in a Video Eating Tour with The Amateur Gourmet and Friends (Menu For Hope II)

My friends and I are known for eating various parts of New York and documenting it all on film. We've conquered The Lower East Side, Coney Island and Chinatown and now's your chance to join us on our fourth expedition.

Cue Pim and her Menu For Hope II!

That's right, our beloved Pim of Chez Pim is raising money again, this time for Unicef and earthquake victims in Northern India and Pakistan. The way she's doing it is simple: each food blogger is offering up a prize and interested parties can go here, to the FirstGiving site and donate money to win the prize in a raffle. $5 buys you one raffle ticket and you can buy as many as you want. Just make sure to put the prize you want in the comment of your post.

To see the full list of prizes, head over here and scan through them. As for my prize, it's as glamorous as it gets: you and however many friends you want to bring will be whisked away to a remote part of New York where you'll join me and one of my video regulars (Lisa, John, Ricky) to stuff ourselves silly, documenting it all on video. Later, the video will be edited, set to music and posted for posterity on the side of this site. You'll be famous! And fat! You'll be Kirstie Alley before Jennie Craig!

Even if you don't live in New York, feel free to bid. The winner's prize is good for as long as it takes to make it happen. So if you think you'll be coming to New York in a few years, maybe 2046, don't put your wallet away. Donate those $5, put "Amateur Gourmet Video" in the comments and you'll be well on your way to internet stardom. Plus you'll be helping lots of needy people in the process.

Thanks Pim for putting this together! Everyone has until Dec. 23rd to play. Let's represent, y'all.

Woohoo! Chance to meet the AG!
Have a great time in Paris!

Oh, how exciting! My husband and I were just looking at video cameras the other day. I said, too expensive! He said, but we could make videos like the Amateur Gourmet!

LOL @ coney island video -- I love it!
