My friend Jason Bellini just filed this report from Hooters in Beijing:
It's one thing to eat a burger and french fries while in China; it's another to eat it at Hooters. I'd say more but, frankly, I'm speechless.

Wow. I lived there 20 years ago, when Pizza Hut and KFC were brand-new in Beijing and people thought *that* was crazy. Talk about a "cultural revolution."

From the clips it seems like Americans only. How horrifying.

Yeah...many adjectives are flying through my brain, but "horrifying" pretty much wins. It's like American Hooters with all the fun, what there is of it, gone, because the women are being exploited. At least American women who work at Hooters know what they're getting into.

Why speechless? Different culture, different world...granted, there are better 'cultural' exports.

"Alfie" seems like an interesting character...
I would post something about freedom, fast food, and democracy and hot wings and things, but it's just not in me tonight.

Men could not get dates in their countries go to China. This is sad for men and women.

Olive Garden should open stores in China but all the waitresses have to look like Kendra Wilkinson from Playboy.
