Let me be the first to say-I saw this on C&Z and broke out the ice cream maker-absolutely divine, and the great way to kick off the summer!

Ok. Now I am officially using my tax rebate for kitchen supplies: Tart Pan and Ice Cream Maker are numbers 2 and 1 on the list, respectively.

I saw this on C&Z when it first appeared and made the ice cream the same day. AMAZING! And considering I usually do the whole custard-based French style thing, so very very easy.

This looked good when I saw the C&Z post, but you've just tipped the balance into need-to-make. Comic recipes are my weakness!

yay for ice cream comics!

Wouldn't it be nice if there were institutional sized jars of Nutella? Those little jars don't last two minutes in my house. Two loaves of Nutalla bread and Poof! GONE. And now there's ice cream to add to that list. *sigh*

yum! That looks gorgeous. I used to order chocolate and hazelnut ice cream together just to get that nutella-y taste but now I don't have to. Thank you.
I would argue that it isn't the easiest ice cream ever though - cos you do need an ice-cream machine. At work (I'm a chef) we just whip 500 mls of cream till quite stiff then fold in one tin of regular sweet condensed milk (think its 350g or 345g or something like that) and whatever flavouring we like and freeze. Been making brown butter ice cream recently which is Divine!

Oh, Kitt, they DO have institutional sized jars of Nutella. I have seen 3kg jars at Buon Italia in Chelsea Market. I would imagine that you could source the same size over the Internet if you don't live in NYC.

YUM!!! My trusty icecream maker will be getting an outing this weekend, I think. :) Adam (& Clotilde), if this tastes as good as it looks I may well have to share the love with the Australian food-blogging community on my own still-in-baby-steps blog...

I've made Nutella ice cream without the ice-cream maker. It is easy and it has only two or three ingredients - can't remember which right now. Anyway, while it has few ingredients, and I won't call it "difficult," the ice cream maker is easier. Especially if your hand mixer is in the shop - it's basically whipped cream with Nutella in. This looks a lot easier!

Uh-oh, Beth, now you've done it! I will have to look more widely locally, since I can't justify the shipping. But to know it exists ...
Thanks! (I think.)

Is it too early to make a piano bar request? I'd like to hear "Frozen" by Madonna. Thanks!

Yum! I've made an ice cream with Nutella and whipping cream before, but I think my machine turned the cream into butter! I'll try this now.....is that cat a ragdoll?

Made this Friday night after seeing the post and checking out the original on C&Z. Just made mine in freezer proof container and used hand-held mixer to churn every couple of hours. Its so delicious and so easy!
