Gourmet Survivor 2004: Five Down, Four To Go—”I, Food Critic, I”

Can you believe we’re down to only four people? Those who remain have survived FIVE eliminations. They are: Nick, Harry, Andrea and Michelle. Let’s give them a round of applause, shall we?

*Raucous applause.*

Moving on—this week’s challenge asks these homebodies to leave their kitchens and computer desks and to venture out into the world at large. I am asking you to write a restaurant review.

“But Amateur Gourmet!” you plead, “I don’t have money to go out to a nice restaurant! I thought you said you wouldn’t ask us to spend a lot of money!”

Simmer down now.

I am not asking you to spend a lot of money, fool. You can write a review of McDonald’s. The point is to write a comprehensive, thoughtful review of an outside dining establishment. If you want to spend money. feel free. The ball’s in your court. But I think it would be a greater feat to seriously review a fast food joint than it would to write up your local four star restaurant. I’ll leave that up to you.
