Profiles in Roughage: The Toasted Coconut Donut
April 26, 2004 | By | COMMENTSThe thing about the toasted coconut donut at Dunkin’ Donuts is that they take the time to toast the coconut. I mean really: wouldn’t the plain coconut donut be enough? Do we really need such an indulgance? And yet they spoil us.
Today’s toasted coconut donut featured a soft chewy interior complemented by the crunchy, textured exterior. The toasting gave it all a nice campfire flavor and went perfect dunked in my Dunnkin’ Donuts coffee. All in all, a stellar dining experience.
